Used as a navigational tool since the 14th century, the compass rose was first worn as a tattoo by seamen who thought that the symbol would bring them good luck. Today, this tattoo design has varying meanings depending on the wearer. For some, the compass rose is to remind them to stay focused on the future and to leave the past in the past or it can be a reminder to look forward after a particularly tumultuous time in life.
Our temporary compass rose tattoo is an ecological alternative that may act as a reminder to stay on the right track -- that to achieve your goals, you’ll need to go in the right direction. This design can also be a symbol of honor for the past while also looking forward and being open to the future.
Made using safe and non-toxic ink, our minimalist temporary compass rose tattoo is an environmentally conscious alternative perfect for those who love adventure, travel, and spirituality. Also referred to as a Rose of the Winds, the symbol represents awakening, discovery, and spiritual direction. The present, the past, the future, and infinite possibility mark each major point of the compass.
Whatever journey you find yourself on, our compass rose temporary tattoo is the perfect symbol to mark the start of your new adventure through life.
How To
How To
How do I apply my Tatteco?
Remove the semi-transparent protective sheet and place the tattoo face down on clean, dry skin that is free from oils, lotions or creams.
Press a wet cloth firmly against the backing paper for around 30 seconds, then gently peel the paper away. Allow the tattoo to dry completely before touching it.
How long do temporary tattoos last?
A regular Tatteco lasts 2–5 days on average, although longevity varies depending on the design, placement and how you care for it.
Fine-line designs may fade a little sooner, while tattoos placed on areas with less friction can sometimes last longer.
For the best results, avoid applying your Tatteco to oily areas, places where the skin stretches frequently, or underneath tight-fitting clothing.
Our semi-permanent Tattecos last around 14 days.
How do I remove my Tatteco?
Your tattoo will gradually fade on its own after a few days.
If you would like to remove it sooner, apply rubbing alcohol or baby oil to the tattoo, leave it for around 10 seconds, then gently rub it away with a cloth.
Are Tattecos waterproof?
Yes. You can shower and swim while wearing your Tatteco.
However, avoid scrubbing, rubbing or washing directly over the tattoo, as friction will cause it to fade more quickly.
How can I make my tattoo last longer?
Apply your Tatteco to clean, dry, oil-free skin, ideally on an area that does not stretch or experience too much friction.
Once applied, keep the area clean and avoid excessive rubbing, exfoliation and tight clothing over the tattoo.
